Medium Raw: A Bloody Valentine to the World of Food and the People Who Cook

Medium Raw: A Bloody Valentine to the World of Food and the People Who Cook - Anthony Bourdain I might have been a trifle mean in lopping off the fourth star for Kitchen Confidential, although I stand by my assessment that there's plenty of hyperbole in Bourdain's breakout work. I guess I prefer the more mellowed out Bourdain here? (age 54 rather than 44?) although in sheer cultural impact the original Bourdain was the one, as he himself admits, he was "angry" in the original work--he has since mellowed out...

this book does do the 'name-dropping' thing, and momofuku, of course, has become as bourdain relates the #1 manhattan restaurant-- a good read to reinvigorate your palate
