Che Guevara: A Revolutionary Life - Jon Lee Anderson Jon Lee Anderson, at his best, is a notch less than [a:Sebastian Junger|16494|Sebastian Junger|http://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1272350217p2/16494.jpg] [a:Jon Krakauer|1235|Jon Krakauer|http://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1199903308p2/1235.jpg] [a:Rick Atkinson|38662|Rick Atkinson|http://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1243616779p2/38662.jpg] [a:Anthony Beevor] [a:John Toland|3187882|John Toland|http://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1272168043p2/3187882.jpg]. however, in the great world of military / political writing, the question is not necessarily "are there hundreds of great books out there on the battles and historical guerillas of the world, or are there only a few score?

I would argue a few score. so by that rights, Anderson is a five-star writer, and this is a five-star book. being "just less" than Krakauer makes you a very good writer indeed.

second matter, this ebook is retailing for 9.99 / iboooks. 999 pennies divided by 832 pages is a brilliant 1.11 cents a page. that is just humanitarian / social service pricing, and so we owe JLA a big salute for stocking our collective virtual bookshelves with a reference work that might very well be useful or even more readable decades from now.
